Private tutor in Deception Bay, Australia
Education
I have a Bachelor of Music from the Queensland Griffith Conservatorium of Music. I had a GPA of 6.3 with concurrent training in Italian. I hold a Licentiate of Music with the Australian Music Examination Board. In 2011, I earned my Associate of Music with the Australian Music Examination Board, as well as achieved grade 6 in Musicianship, grade 5 in Flute, and grade 5 in Piano. I also have an ATCL with Honors in Musical Theatre from the Trinity-Guildhall in London.
Experience
I have had a broad range of teaching experiences. I have seven years of experience in individual-based teaching, during which time I taught across several barriers, including working with non-English speaking learners. I am well-versed in French and German and have five years of Italian-speaking experience. I have an excellent understanding of the English language. I was schooled in grammatical basics from 10, have worked as a freelance editor for nine years, and achieved excellence in creative writing, essays, and research papers. I understand how the marking system works and what your teacher is actually looking for in your work. I have a strong grip on character design, as well as the rules of grammar and narrative. In addition, I have a thorough comprehension of music. In my professional and daily life, I'm a singing teacher, practicing artist, opera singer, and composer.

Hobbies
I have a mind-boggling array of hobbies and interests. Chief amongst the crowd is singing, stage performance, writing, drawing, composing & sewing (you haven't known joy until you've tried on a dress that you've made & which fits you perfectly). My other hobbies include knitting (& other textile work), general craft, general tinkering, listening to podcasts, podcasting and vintage hair-styling (pincurling, etc.) - basically anything that keeps my mind whirring away & my hands busy. Naturally, Pinterest is a black hole to me. I have an avid interest in music history, as well as the minor points of psychology, sociology & neuropsychology. I am constantly fascinated by history & the subject of horticulture (although I wish desperately that I was better at implementing my knowledge of the latter). I love the ins-and-outs of language, especially English and love the minor details that frame a sentence - the idea that such minuscule changes can impact so heavily on the final meaning never fails to amaze me. All in all, I am yet to find a subject that, with research, doesn't become mind-blowingly fascinating and very much hope never to find one.
